Prague Airport Ruzyne is located about 15km north of Prague city centre. It operates about 1,000 flights a week (and growing) and is serviced by National and Low Budget airlines. Over 7 million passengers fly in and out of Prague Airport each year. It is adding a new terminal which will bring the capacity up to about 10 million people a year proving what a popular city Prague is becoming.

There are three main ways to get from the airport into Prague city centre. You can take a Taxi directly into the city for around 600 – 700 Kc. Make sure you set the price before you get into the taxi as Prague taxi drivers are renowned for trying to rip off their passengers. Depending on what time of day you are traveling it should take between 20 – 40 minutes depending on traffic.

 

Another way of getting to and from Prague’s Airport (Ruzyne) is by bus and only costs about 15Kc for the journey. You will find the bus (bus 119) located outside the arrivals terminal which runs from 5am until 11.30pm at night. The bus will take you to the Dejvicka Metro Station and from there you can take the Metro into the city centre. You don’t need to buy another ticket for this part of the journey. Heading back to the airport you need to do the same trip but in reverse. Metro to Dejvicka Station and then get the bus out to the airport.

 

If you are travelling in a group or have lots of luggage you can either book a private shuttle service to be waiting at the airport when you arrive. You can also take the Cedaz bus service which will bring you to Dejvicka Metro Station where you can easily get the Metro into Prague’s city centre. It only costs about 100kc for this service. Alternatively you can also ask them to take you straight to your hotel which will cost between 400 – 800kc depending on your hotel location and the number of passengers travelling.
