PRAGUE
BUS SERVICE - PRAGUE BUSES
As
Prague’s Metro (underground system) and Tram Service
are so good, buses are not used that often. Prague
Bus Service mainly covers the outskirts of
the city. Prague’s bus service is quite regular
during the day with buses running from 5am in the morning
until around midnight every day. Bus fares are also
very cheap.
Prague also has ‘Night Buses’
which run from midnight to 5am in the morning when the
day buses have stop and have buses every half hour or
so.
If you would like to take the bus from
Prague to another part of the Czech Republic you can
do so. They have National Bus Service
which runs to most other cities. If you would like to
check out the fares and timetable of these journeys,
take a look at their website.

One
way of getting to and from Prague’s Airport (Ruzyne)
is by bus and only costs about 15Kc for the journey.
You will find the bus (bus 119) located outside the
arrivals terminal which runs from 5am until 11.30pm
at night. The bus will take you to the Dejvicka Metro
Station and from there you can take the Metro into the
city centre. You don’t need to buy another ticket
for this part of the journey. Heading back to the airport
you need to do the same trip but in reverse. Metro to
Dejvicka Station and then get the bus out to the airport.
